You are taking this discussion off on a tangent and putting words into my mouth to establish my position on industrial capitalism. The reason why I brought up industrial capitalism was to point out the many factors that modern technology implies. I could have just as easy used a pre-industrial form of technology as an example.
Last night I sent a list of quotes and references to this list that elaborate on my position and show that my position is not unusual. It's been a hot topic in academic circles and among writers.
