i seem to recall Marx saying that it was nonsense to try to take over the 
state or demolish it, too. the point was to build alternative institutions 
in both Critique of the Gotha Programme and The Paris Commune. My books are 
still in boxes, or I'd look the quotes up.

it's always curious to me why that side of marx gets ignored.
