Well ... I have no reason to want to defend Joshua Muravchik, but its unfair
(and actually fair ridiculous) to compare him to Mussolini. He's simply a
second string neo-con: his journey from the Young Socialists to the American
Enterprise Institute is an all too familiar late 20th century story. By the
way Muravchik, in the latest Commentary, takes issue with some writers
(including me) who argue that some neo-cons are former Trotskyists. See
