I don't think it would be that hard to get a phone interview with Barenboim on this subject. They were very close, and the mass media will not give his friend the due I'm sure he believe he is due. No one will be breaking down his door to talk about this, and it was important to him.

I personally think Barenboim would be a great choice, because the two of them were very close at the end. Barenboim came to give a concert in Nazareth, Said's home town, and for the last few years they had working together to give scholarships to young Israeli and Palestinian musicians to play together in an orchestra. Said was very proud of his grand-nephew, a 10 year old violinist, who he thought might make the cut this year. He's very tender on the subject of their music project in that webcast I posted as a small gesture of hope.
