<P>Justice Scalia says that Christian nations are less likely to oppose the death penalty -- a view his own Pope would find startling -- and "I attribute that to the fact that, for the believing Christian, death is no big deal." Especially if it is other people's death. Sean Wilentz had a good comment on this piece last Spring in NYT. jks
