Botched US bombing kills 11 Afghan civilians

KABUL: Eleven Afghan civilians were killed when a bomb dropped by an
American warplane landed on a home in eastern Afghanistan, near the border
with Pakistan, the US military said on Wednesday.

The civilians were killed when the bomb landed on a home on the outskirts of
Shkin, the military said, calling the deaths a "tragic incident."
