<DIV>I'm a huge Johnny Cash fan, and June Carter added much to his music and
life. Several years ago, at my daughter's West Village school, I shared a table
with Rosanne Cash (whose kid was in the same school) as we hawked our books for
the Christmas fair. She told me stories about Johnny and June which were so
fascinating that I didn't care that we drew so little attention from passersby,
the majority of whom crowded at Anna Quindlen's table, who held court with her
signature humility.</DIV>
