Certain favored companies, like Avista, are still getting pardoned and bailed out by the FERC. That said, three to five majors are possible: Aquila, Reliant, Calpine, Dynegy (just finished another restructuring, not much room for more), and Allegheny (selling stuff to Goldman, but in much more trouble than its stock price would suggest), in that order.
