Yoshie's argued that voting for a democrat would have a deleterious effect on the antiwar movement. She also casts the differences between the two parties differently:

possible succeed where Republicans have failed: e.g., making the

occupation of Iraq a little more economical by getting more money

from Europe, Japan, and Gulf states; and reintroducing conscription

by disarming working-class opposition to it and demobilizing liberal
