--i think doug has a point here, what makes you think that the US needs 
Ariel Sharon to teach them any of this stuff? is it really any 
different than the US strategy in that quagmire known as Vietnam? or 
much of its strategy in Central America during the 1980s [unless of 
course your theory is that Sharon was somehow leading the US to its 
choices in those two regions as well...?]...
