This is why it's a mug's game to take the 9/11 hearings seriously. Ultimately, all this blah-blah about who was responsible for not thwarting the attackers will be used to justify further erosion of Constitutional freedoms and bigger budgets for the FBI and other overbearing professional snoops. The way to have prevented 9/11 -- obviously -- was by not having the US stoke Islamic fury for so many years.
