The funny thing is that all this US Russia-bashing seems to be domestic politics. Bush's relationship with Putin is his one and only foreign-policy success. Naturally, the Dems can score points therefore by bashing Russia, and the Repubs have to preempt them.

 
Accordingly, IMHO, Russia isn't going to be booted out of anything. This is for the folks back home.
