Brian D quotes:

"....This must be preferable to violence itself, but any resort to the power mode carries the seeds of danger, and should be forsaken as quickly as possible."

Beware the logic of ideas and the snare of words. Love is lovely, but it does not come into play if you are about to step on a snake. You avoid the snake or you kill the snake; this is not the result of though, but instinctive action. Loving the snake out of resolve to be good doesn't work. I once watched the two hour confession of a serial killer who operated in the Santa Cruz mountains. He killed many women, raped them, and buried different parts at different sites. This man was, for all intents, dead. The moment for redemptive love had passed a long, long time ago. To attempt to love in such a situation is a piece of vanity, not an act of love and will get you killed, raped, and buried in different parts of the state. There are things beyond mere villany. To be sane, you must be able to make this distinction.
