Really. Ralph is hardly an unknown - he's got one of the more recognizable names in American public life. He's been around almost 40 years - Unsafe At Any Speed was published in 1965. People know what he stands for pretty well. Why is it that many millions more were willing to "throw their votes away" on the jug-eared Texan than the hair-shirt Nutmegger?
