Hosanna! Hosanna! You mean I can now have direct access to the PRESIDENT of the SEIU? The EYES of that lieutenant of labor might just read the words typed out by the hands of this lowly little worker bee? Let the skies part, the American Federation of Labor is saved, the dream of Samuel Gompers (and his successors like Lane Kirkland) will be realized! Labor and capital working hand-in-hand to build a better America!

. . . SEIU reserves the right to delete comments that are rude, derogatory, discriminatory, libelous or offensive (I wonder if a comment like "Lane Kirkland is fucking rotting in hell" would be considered rude, derogatory, discriminatory, libelous, offensive, or a combination of some of these).

Here is the last paragraph of my comment on their blog:

Sometimes I get the feeling these things are incestuous on some level. If I go to a picket line, and the strike captain asks me which local I am with, and I tell him none, he looks at me like I’m from Mars. It’s like he is a computer that can’t compute that one of the 92% of workers in the American private workforce that is not unionized would show up on a picket line to help out. I mean, why would anyone help out unless he was in a local AFL-CIO union and his steward had been urging people to go help out people on strike at a local? They look at me so oddly that I start stammering that my shop is not organized yet, but the local CWA is trying to organize it and the CWA is trying to organize my shop. Well this is a little bit of a stretch because the only shop the CWA will probably even try to organize this year is Verizon Wireless IT workers, if them. But the CWA is having general meetings once a month in New York City now with local IT workers, which is a good thing, and I’m just making the campaign sound a little more active than it actually is to sound a little less odd.
