[lbo-talk] The Anglosphere and Christian Zionism: Protofascist Ideologies

I am now adding the ideologues of the "Anglosphere" to the proto-fascistic tendencies that interweave with the existing regime. It's not just Israel but also Britain - Israel was a product of the British Empire, anyway.

Niall Ferguson (Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institute, natch) is their current guru.

Anglosphere ideologues are the most avid promoters of "American Empire" - that is their specific ideological role - but it turns out that not only is the Thatcherite "neoliberal" ideology of political economy of Anglosphere (Canada, Britain, Australia) origin, but so too are an inordinate number of "American" neocons. Thus a broader, more secular ideology of neo-colonial imperialism and neo-liberal economics is combined with a more narrowly provincial American Christian-Zionism, with the neocons as the pivot, with one foot in the Anglosphere, the other in Christian-Zion.

It will be from the union of the two that the next wave of militant fascism of global extent will emerge.

Explains Christopher Hitchens.

Proyect should know better than to make this arificial counterpose:

And it is not enough to simply quote the classics. We have to be capable of more than being good decoders. We need to express them in our own tongue, here and now.
