Ron Reagan, alone among the convention speakers full of PR platitudes, didn't have to lie to distinguish Kerry from Bush. His speech was the one truthful moment in the entire convention, aside from Kerry's revealing slip that Shane Mage picked up:

It's not surprising that AK Press sells T-shirts like that. We are talking about what the usually cautious-to-a-fault Planned Parenthood has decided to sell, to my pleasant surprise. I talked with Katha Pollitt about "I Had an Abortion" T-shirts, and she says, "It's great that PP [Planned Parenthood] took them on -- i was actually a little surprised that they did!" Can't agree more.
Katha hooked me up with Jennifer Baumgardner, the designer of the T-shirt, and I'm talking with her now so we can do a fund-raiser in Ohio for her documentary film in progress I Had an Abortion. -- Yoshie
