Just some relevant anecdotal evidence: went to see Jim Hightower on his book tour. When he said something to the effect of, Kerry's the tool to get the Bush wingnuts out, but then we need to agitate against Kerry's anti-progressive policies starting on Nov 3, the Portland crowd went wild. ABB is definitely not equal to dogmatic support for the Democratic party (at least not in this pretty liberal neck of the woods).
