After the vote in Missouri last week, I think the left might finally begin to realize the danger of not protecting minority constitutional rights and the dangers of majoritarianism.
The possibility of George Bush being re-elected has increased tremendously since the Missouri vote. Republicans will use votes on marriage amendments to turn out the vote and swing states to Bush. The line-up so far includes Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah. Ohio, Michigan and North Dakota are pending.
Where is the left outrage on assaults on equality?
Nowhere, since much of the left had to vote for the ammendment for it to be approved by 71% of those who voted.
The left just furthers its irrelevancy.
