It is, incidentally, surprising to me that so many commentators should find it disturbing that IQ might be heritable, perhaps largely so. Would it also be disturbing to discover that relative height, or musical talent, or rank in running the 100 yard dash is in part genetically determined?

^^^^ CB: You aren't really "surprised" that so many commentators whatever, as if you just came upon a whole lot of people who disagree with Jensen and Shockley. Or were you born yesterday ?

The idea is that "IQ" doesn't exist, so there is nothing for genes to impact. Whatever impact genetics has on thinking, "IQ" doesn't measure it. That might be something that surprises you.

It's something like The Ether in physics. Morely and Michelson did an experiment ,and low and behold , the ether doesn't exist.
