French journalists held hostage for four months in Iraq said their militant captors told them they wanted President George Bush to win re-election. In a four-page account of their ordeal, one of the reporters, Georges Malbrunot, also wrote that they saw several other hostages who were later decapitated. The journalists said their captors viewed foreign businessmen working in Iraq as their enemies.
"The roots of repression are, and remain real roots; consequently, their eradication remains a real and rational job. What is to be abolished is not the reality principal, not everything, but such particular things as business, politics, exploitation, poverty.
To forget this is to mystify the possibilities of liberation." --Herbert Marcuse
