Of course it's overstated! You can't fight back against the right with statistics about the real situation. They understand what they are doing and that's using a manufactured image of campus radicalism against progressives on campus and in society. Their methods can easily be observed in their recent campaign to "save Christmas" from secular humanists. If politics is war by other means, then you have to use propoganda to manufacture the reality you want. If the progressives want to *win* against the right wing, we have to fight back, not with statistics and rational arguments, but with partisan propaganda.

In other words, create campaigns that argue that college campuses are hotbeds of conservative thought. We should also do similar things to counter their myths about the liberal media. Cast Rupert Murdoch as a foreigner out to manipulate America.
