When Michael Lerner and people like him come under attack from hard-line Zionists, we ought to defend them. It says something about US politics that the good rabbi's position already amply qualifies as a courageous stand.
That said, I'd ask Rabbi Lerner if he is willing to accept the injustices and discriminations against Palestinian citizens of Israel (about 20% of the Israeli population, a proportion larger than Blacks in the US population during the days of Jim Crow) as explained by the Union of the Arab Community Based Organizations at <http://www.ittijah.org/inside/inside01.html> in the name of affirmative action for Jews. -- Yoshie
