One has to get the money from somewhere, but the point I was trying to make was that getting paid by Soros isn't that big of a deal. If he opposes what you write or wants to make editorial changes, that's where you have to decide what to do. But if you're like McQuaig, who worked as a journalist and I think was a single mom and I think did research for her own work, WHAT you write on your own time isn't necessarily going to be used against you (at least not without possible repercussions).

Yup, this happens. And it also doesn't happen.

Don't get too paranoid; I think we've all had damn near enough of that.
