Huh? I said nothing about a true theory, marxist or non-marxist. I don't have any theory, nor do I think either Marx or Lenin had a theory, as to the popularity (or lack therof) of going barefoot in the u.s.
As a purely personal opinion, not a theory, I think it's simply pompous to propose theories (even in tavern conversation) about the preferences of a non-specifiable group on pornography. :-) And if leftists, marxist or otherwise, so pontificate, it adds to the (mostly false) myth of the super-solemnity of the left.
