No one, anywhere, seems to be entertaining my admittedly precarious prognostication from October 2001 that Bush somehow would not *be*, for reason or reasons still unknown to all of us, the Republican contender for President in 2004. Admittedly, as time marches onward, the odds of said prediction coming to pass would seem to be diminishing.
