Perhaps i have misunderstood - I thought the matter being discussed was whether there was such materials before a certain nodal point. Not whether there was an explosion of it after. I am reading "Q", an interesting novel that got a lot positive reviews, about the anabaptist movements in Germany. It makes the point that printing technology changed the manner of propagandising to the peasantry. Hari
