1. CBS refused to air Moveon.com's ad about Bush. Why on earth is politics more controversial than naked breasts in prime time? Where do they think this is, France?
2., CBS ostensibly aired a rather offenseive potato chip ad
Did this really happen? I IGNORED the Stupor Bowl including Janet Jackson, but the other day I was listening to something on the radio. The radio said during the Super Bowl there was some ad about a grandfather tripping a grandmother to get to some potato chips. To me this sounds REALLY Tasteless.
Why? Even if the ad is SUPPOSED to be "all in good fun" it smacks of domestic violence, and even worse domestic violence in service of greedy commercialism. I am not up on the latest stats related to Domestic Violence on Super Bowl Sunday. but I remember many years where feminists campaigned because Super Bowl Sunday is supposed to be on of the days with the highest count of domestic violence incidents in the whole calendar. So is CBS cashing in on this problems by airing this tasteless ad?
There before I foam at the mouth any further, did this really happen? Did CBS air this kind of ad?
