That might be the only thing that will bail out Bush at this point and it might backfire when people ask why it took so fucking long.
The Republican backers of George W. are desperate right now. They understand that nobody really believes that Bush is this great leader other than a few die hard dittoheads. It looks like they will throw anything at Kerry. The whackos at FrontpageOverthrow.com are going after Kerry's wife this morning, suggesting that she funds the new red comunist fifth column in the USA. That may play well with the conservative moron crowd, but I can't see anybody else taking it seriously. And what's up with this Jane Fonda stuff? There are dozens of photos that show Kerry serving in Vietnam, Bush is being ridiculed for being the AWOL rich frat boy, and this Jane Fonda stuff is supposed to derail Kerry?
