This was a figure of speech, Shane. The point is that sample-based polls assume statistical error +/- 3% while GP gathered only 2.7% of the electorate not to claim that inaccurate enumeration of votes was due to statistical error (which indeed is nonsense). Stated differently, the third parties are a ridiculously small force, a drop in a bucket if you will.
