Carrol, the logic of this argument escapes me altogether. It seems to follow the line "If A, then not A": "If Dems win, then someone much worse will eventually win" "If the bottle is no full, it will surely be empty" "If things seem to be good, they surely become bad" etc. - which seems either (a) absurd on its face or (b) a manic-depressive delusion. Could you elaborate?
