I finally got around to taking a look at the Christian Science Monitor article that Marc posted. Though Marc chose to worry about the penultimate paragraph that mentions Ramsey Clark, the whole article is actually about "the pitfalls of trying Hussein" (which is the title of the article, and its headline is a warning that "Hussein on trial could make the US, Britain, France, Germany and Russia regret their past associations with his regime") -- the pitfalls for not the anti-war movement but the US and other governments that once provided material support for Saddam Hussein and his party and regime. Among other thing, the CS Monitor website at <http://www.csmonitor.com/2003/1231/dailyUpdate.html> provides a link to "The Saddam Hussein Sourcebook: Declassified Secrets from the U.S.-Iraq Relationship" by the National Security Archive at <http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/special/iraq/index.htm>. By the standards of the mainstream media, a remarkably useful service to the anti-war movement. . . . -- Yoshie
