Doug: "So does this mean that Bad Religion is libertarian or Nazi? Or neither? I think "I Want to Conquer the World" is a great song, even if it's ideologically suspect. But then I even listen to Skrewdriver once in a while."

Sorry to go over my limit, but Bad Religion is thoroughly leftist; they're just incredibly didactic and boring, in my view. Many years ago, there was a great article in Socialist Review arguing that the DK-ish "punk elite" who ran Max R&R functioned as a kind of anarcho-Leninist vanguard, giving space and publicity, in their mag and radio show, only to leftist punks and deliberately disempowering the illiterate neo-Nazis.

Max R&R once correctly identified and promoted a public park near my old house as one of the top 10 best places in the country for kids to sneak into and smoke weed. So its contribution to humanity in its glory days was immense.
