USSR 1980: 24,6 USSR 1985: 25,6 USSR 1989: 27,7 Russia 1997: 40-48 (depending on method)

China 1953: 55 China 1964: 30 China 1970: 27 China 1975: 26 China 1985: 32 China 1990: 35

(Wonderful indexes of 15-18 only exist for urban population only)

China 1995 (Urban):28

China 1995 (Overall): 45

Cuba 1953: 57 Cuba 1978: 27 (no data after 1978)

Indonesia 1965: 38 Indonesia 1996: 36

South Korea 1965: 35 South Korea 1970: 35 South Korea 1993: 31

No data after 1993. Doug is right.

Taiwan 1980: 27 Taiwan 1985: 29 Taiwan 1992: 31

Malaysia: no data after 1987. Around 45 in the last 30 years

Less unequality in the list: Czechoslovakia 1988: 19
