By denying the parallel the editor undercuts the only possible excuse any progressive might have for voting for the DP next fall.
The Lockean principle echoed in the Declaration of Independence holds: certain acts (revolution or voting for the DP) are only valid if there is no other way to avoid eternal tyranny.
