In the comic strip Over the Hedge, the woodland creatures are taking a break from ragging on suburbia. Instead, this week Verne (the turtle) is explaining to RJ (the raccoon) how American presidential politics works:

RJ: What exactly does the president do?

Verne: He's sworn to defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.

RJ: And imaginary?

Verne: He throws those in for free.

RJ: Workin' overtime!

On Tuesday, Verne explained exactly which vote mattered last time (hint: 5-4). Thursday's is good, too.
