Hand grenade explodes in Dagestan synagogue
Unidentified individuals set off a hand grenade in a synagogue in Derbent, Dagestan at about 2255 on Sunday, a source with the Derbent law-enforcement agency reported. The explosion shattered the windows of the synagogue. There were no casualties.
Dagestan is a predominantly Muslim republic in the south of Russia, bordering Chechnya. //Interfax
