Don't believe every farfetched thing that US leftists who are stricken with Naderphobia have to say about Nader. I have heard Nader complain of "corporate pornography and violence beamed to children at a very impressionable age" (e.g., <http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/02/23/elec04.prez.nader/>), but I haven't heard him say anything about preferring domestic porn to foreign porn (!), and Christian can't produce any evidence for this libel of Nader. Nor can he find Kerry (or any other candidate, for that matter) going on record making approving remarks about pornography and violence for young viewers.

The Naderphobic have fallen into the habit of inventing anything they like about Nader, just as the Bush team have about Saddam Hussein. Apparently, their Anybody But Bush fever is approaching "the temperature at which truth burns." :-|

Seriously, here is *a secular Arab-American leftist*, who publicly *supports* the equal right to marriage regardless of sexual orientation when the Democratic Party presidential candidate won't even touch it *and yet* still gets a higher level of support from American *Muslims* than any other demographic category of eligible voters:

Polling Data

What candidate would you vote for in the 2004 U.S. presidential election?

John Kerry (D) 54%

Ralph Nader (I) 26%

George W. Bush (R) 2%

Source: Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) Methodology: Telephone interviews to 1,161 registered American voters, conducted in June 2004. <http://www.cpod.ubc.ca/polls/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewItem&itemID=3254>

Thinking gay men on the left should welcome this news, even if they are not happy about the Nader candidacy: a lot of Muslims support a candidate who supports gay marriage, in fact giving him a higher level of support after the candidate came out in support for gay marriage. -- Yoshie
