And I didn't comment on that. I made a general statement about your _introductory_ statement. I don't see how useful debate on this can proceed if it is cast into discussion of the intelligence or moral character of the opposition.

So only your first three words are relevant to the statement I made, which was simply,

If you agree with that, then we don't have an argument with each other right now.

I don't think the millions who are going to vote for Bush are either dupes or scoundrels. I think they are mistaken. Do you have any quarrel with that?
