NY senators: World Court wrong about West Bank barrier
New York-AP -- New York's two senators were quick to denounce the International Court of Justice opinion that Israel's West Bank barrier is illegal.
The good news, said Charles Schumer at a news conference across the street from the United Nations, is that the court's opinion is only advisory.
Schumer complained that Israel is being held to a different standard when it comes to protecting itself against terrorism.
Hillary Clinton called the barrier "a legitimate response" to Israel's need to protect itself. She said it's drastically reduced suicide bombings in Israel.
