Well, there's also "pro-Israeli lobby" (e.g. AIPAC) or "Israel's amen corner" (i.e. Capital Hill). Of course, it complicates matters that plenty of folks do lobby on behalf of Israel, and that such lobbying might be effectual.

No point in cursing the hammer while you pound the nail. But if it's a shitty hammer, demand better from the blacksmith next time 'round. And/or tell your friends to go to a different blacksmith etc.
