Hi,

A few months ago I wrote and distributed an essay I'd written, "Big Science, the Fragmenting of Work & the Left's Curious Notion of Progress," which.commemorates Harry Braverman's "Labor and Monopoly Capital" on this, the 30th anniversary of that great book's publication by Monthly Review. 142 people wrote to me individually requesting a copy of Big Science -- pretty amazing! -- and I sent them each a free copy as a WORD attachment. If you'd like one e-mailed to you, just drop me a line. It's also out in pamphlet form for $4. Just send me your details and a check and I'll mail it to ya.

NEW ESSAY: The first of a series of follow-up essays relating to science, technology and ecology is now ready as well. This one is called "Listen, Bookchin!" -- a reference to Murray Bookchin's booklet: "Listen, Marxist!" It's a major revision of a pamphlet I wrote several years ago, with lots of new details and arguments about social ecology, with ongoing challenges to Big Science from an anthropological perspective.

It's not out yet as a pamphlet; if you'd like me to send it free to you as a WORD attachment, please drop me a line and I'll do so. Your feedback on these articles is very welcome, and I often include the comments folks send in updating the essays.

Thanx again.

Mitchel Cohen
