Saw Kagarlitsky at New College in the early 90's. Some of the more intelligent questions came from Kendra Alexander's husband. They were longtime CPUSA cadre. Joined CofC/CCDS in the '92 split. Died in a fire started by smoking in bed. Good organizers. Kendra spoke at a big conference I helped to organize at UCB w/ a good 1500 communists, socialists and other lefties. When Kendra walked to the stage there was that old CP thunderous applause (and now join William Zig Zag Foster at Madison Square Garden in a recitation of the Pledgeof Allegiance! Hazzah, hazzah! Live NBC radio broadcastvolume of '37 overwhelmed w/ the ovation) routineby the old CPUSA'ers in attendence, Alot that attended had not spoken to each other in yrs. due to political differences. (Yup, the cooperative commonwealth is coming...out of a movement of squabblers!)

My list of journalists, later.
