Well, why blaming the messenger? This is how Boobus Americanus (40+ percent of the population) thinks. The likes of Anne Coulter merely deliver his daily fast food for thought. Complaining about that makes as much sense as complaining about the taste of McDonalds fodder - the boobuses love it and will not trade it for any fru-fru foreign-sounding gourmet food. Yes, it is gross and I suppose you could say her sentiments are out of date - though considering the bizarreness of the tone and descriptions I think "out of date" doesn't quite hit the mark. "Out of this reality" seems more like it. Why did I post it? Oh, just a spot of fun. I thought it was amusing and surreal. Her hatred of the Left, even the lukewarm variety on display at the DemCon, reaches such a level of hyperbole it achieves escape velocity from the real and enters territory perhaps best described by folks like Zizek.

Blaming the messenger Woj? Yes, I admit there is some of that (see "having a spot of fun" above for explanatory details).
But consider...
If a sizable portion of the US' population believes people like Coulter are reporting the facts (as opposed to just enjoying reading her as you might P.G Wodehouse) then it follows that millions of people are trapped in a delusion of astonishing scope and viciousness.
Of course, it wouldn't be the first time a mass flight of fancy happened but such a situation would surely place the Left's present efforts, such as they are, in the necessary context and ask uncomfortable questions about future prospects.
Mind you, I'm not saying she IS wildly popular (as I think you are) but if she is well then, as the man said years ago about 20 thousand klicks out from Earth, "Houston, we've got a problem."
