Granted, but rewiring Americans' sexual weirdness seems a more difficult job than tapping into their latent economic resentments. Besides, changing sexual mores will probably just substitute one form of weirdness for another -- people are funny, as philosopher Art Linkletter observed -- but getting Americans to recognize class might clear the way for real material Progress.
