It should be made abundantly clear that this is not only a 'war' 
economy but an economy driven by the reconstruction of Iraq's 
infrastructure, including power, water and industrial base (petroleum). 
Most Home Depot customers will be able to tell you how the 
'reconstruction' economy has effected prices and thereby the jobs that 
comprise that economic sector. Living a block away from a regional 
railway yard that moves a lot of wood and gypsum (drywall) product 
provides further suggestions of economic reality.
