If you want to know Reagan's secret, it's simple. Follow a Hollywood script. Go back through every script with a left slant that appealed to higher principles, the common man, dipped in sentimentality over mother or some such, and depicted the enemy in the cruelest terms possible. My favorite for this was Grapes of Wrath.

You can pretty much follow all the writers Reagan would have named at the McCarthy hearings, if he had read them. So start with Steinbeck and Miller and work it out from there. The list will need some updates but that's the basic idea.

The means to catalyze change is propaganda and that is exactly what Reagan used. He knew and understood the prime mythological characters of the American saga and re-enacted their modern archetypes. While these were catalyst, the reactive elements were of course capital and the power elite, plus their re-figuration as all american heros for the corus of the public mythological mind. . . .

The best satire on Kerry I've seen so far was posted to the list the other day by somebody. Kerry is featured in The Dawn of the Dead movie poster. Green faced and haggard, he stares out of sighless eyes, looming behind a line of walking dead. (Must be the DLC and the lost felons of Florida)

Anyway the US does love a morality play and we have a great one on stage, right now.

The meanest, cruelest and all time worst president critter of the whole USA put in power by rotten judges on the take is waging war on innocent people, and torturing them to death---sticking electricity up their ass and everything. So, Pilgrim what the fuck are we going to do about it?

Our hero is a stage prop, just been rolled off a re-make of Dawn of the Dead. What can we do positive with a dead body? We know he won't flitch and can take a hell of a beating. That's about it. Those are about the only two up sides to electing a corpus.

We could prop Kerry Corpus up in front of the mayor's office and tell sheriff Bush he better to reign in his posse or else we'll tell the mayor on him. But somehow I don't think that will scare old sheriff Bush. He's a mighty tough hombre.

Why his deputy dog Ashcroft was just down to see the boys on Capital Hill today. He told them, if in you don't like the way I run Dodge, shove it. They likes to shit a brick. Never seen nothing like it.

Biden asked Ashcroft for one of the John Yoo's memos and Ashcroft said, no. Biden told him he had to give a reason. Ashcroft didn't give him one. Biden was so incredulous, he laughed. That's what you call the olde stiffer-roo.
