david brock has an interesting new book out about the right wing smear
machine, The Republican Noise Machine: Right-Wing Media and How It Corrupts
Democracy.   worth a read.   his web site mediamatters.org is relatively new
and works to debunk the right wing media propaganda machine in real time.
well worth a look.
