      The NYT made note of this a few days ago. Martin Schraeder 
<mschreader at npns.org> of the Socialist Party in Michigan has done alot of 
organizing against the Diebold machines. Asked him about the Venezuelan 
recall. He said he knew the person who wrote the source code. From others 
who know Martin in person (Trot friends) I've acquired some skepticism 
about Martin's claims about other things (the obscure left sectariana I 
love mostly), so fwiw.

    From another source I read that the Venezuelan government has a 
financial interest in the company that sold these untested electronic 
voting machines.
