i see you didn't read chuck's post. like this part:

For the bottom they promise one thing: we will not let `you know who', starts with an `n' in your place, period. For the mid-level suburbanite, more of the same, plus tax cuts and some `free enterprise' scheme to milk the public cow---get in on the take while you can. Everybody knows this too. So the assholes get elected, regular as clock work. And absolutely nobody who votes for them will say a word---it is just understood.

</grimes>

i just moved out of tom delay's district in brazoria county, texas, where i had lived for 6 years. i listen to rush almost daily and i do listen to local radio nut-jobs that make rush sound like a bleeding heart liberal. i work in a suburb where every other gmc suburban has a fish and a "it's a child not a choice" bumper sticker. i work with people who are promise keepers and go on bike riding fund raisers for focus on the family. while they are all busy denying they are racists (the local far right christian radio station does enjoy two regular black conservative callers to prove they are not racists), but the 'liberal' epithet also serves as a proxy for race. when they call quannel x a 'liberal', it is only becausae they can't say n-word on the radio.

the radio hosts are pretty polished and practiced and rarely slip, but the callers are often intellectual midgets that can't even get the relatively obvious 'nuances' and often slip into using terms like 'they' and 'them' -- i.o.w. doing the Other Boogy. they give the whole game away when they do.
